Oh WOW, what a morning for me! First thing to do is to open Pandora's box! and it's not definitely always such a pleasant surprise what we see there. beautiful maybe but not pleasant... We have to face all our past, a bit of future but the worst thing is to face the today. What we see there is of course our own interpretation but if we even try to be honest; take the blurring glasses away and look at ourselves straight into eyes... what we really then see? Am I courageous enough? Maybe not. But this most beautiful, and touching piece of art gives me some hints what there might be... if I only dare to see through it. --- I'm so touched by this picture, Bev! Your ability to see deeply, and paint it perfectly is incredible. Every detail finds its own place, lurking there, waiting for the viewer to notice them - if they are courageous enough to do that. This Pandora's box is quite frightening - but as always in your art there is a place for rest and relaxation too - but first you have to go through all of it. I'm just sitting here, staring at the eyes, then wandering around the the Box, and admiring - hardly breathing. :-)

Well I guess I just got as excited as titta did when I seen that you posted. It never is enough for me, but when it is...it's something sure to be phenominal. You have such a way of speaking through your art and even more you remain true to yourself as an artist and do what is YOU. This is beautiful in all ways and I don't say that lightly. Thank you Bev for sharing with us another piece of your mind. Bravo.

A mirror opens the window to the worst enemy one could face: him/herself. I like that timid, though irresistible look in her eyes, as she'd battled a long time with herself till the surrender.

I love the originality and stunning realism of this fine, thought provoking, piece. To say this is excellent work is an understatement. Some say that the eyes are the mirror to the soul. In this case, the mirror is. V

oh well... impressive... not yet sure what to think about it... it's strong... and fragile... Yo used a nice wording here: felt on many levels! something about that... again "too many" things to think about - too many things to tie a string to and build up a story.... but that's great...! love it! you really know how to capture one's presence and one's phantasy... thanks a lot... hugeshugs

There is a lot of jung-esque symbolism there. Especially the razor blade and key. Creativity through destruction? Dramatic forceful change of the self? I suspect the latter given the mirror. The technical skill is quite beautiful but the phsycological tricks are played very intelligently as well.

Again you treat us to your wonderful art, those eyes are wonderful, totally engaging I have been sat here lost in them wondering just what thoughts she is having, nothing to sinister I hope, time to move on I think, some things must stay locked in Pandoras box. Thanks for sharing this thought provoking image.

It's a relief to have our broadband connection back, so I can finally attempt to leave you with some semblance of a decent comment! I think Cass communicated our drooling on the night you posted this, but here's some more, if you can stand it ;-) You seem to have surpassed yourself again, technically as well as in conception. The title is perfect! By the way, her hysterics have just subsided after reaching over from behind my laptop and typing "jeeeeeeem" at the end of what I'd typed! I said "how the hell do you come up with a decent comment for that?" and her answer was "gaahhhh...bldrrrrr...grschhhh... there". Will write soon! ;-)
