Description
This was taken at RAF Fairford in 1989 and shows XH558 just about to touchdown. As you can see from this shot the Vulcan was a very popular sight (and sound, you haven't heard anything until you hear that screech from the engine intakes) at airshows.

I remember seeing a Vulcan over Coventry as a kid, unforgettable. Now I get to fly it with MS Flight Simulator!

Great photo of a great airplane. I saw a Vulcan (and a Lightning) doing bumps and circuits at RAF Boscombe Down the day we visited. The British build beautiful airplanes.
The vulcan is a very unique looking plane. I never got to see one in real life;^( Great pic.
