The Renderosity Gallery of the Week for February 15, 2016, is the TrueSpace gallery.
TrueSpace was a very popular, easy-to-use, 3D graphics/animation application developed by Caligari Corportation, but bought out by Microsoft in 2009. Although TrueSpace is no longer in development, Renderosity artists still find the program useful in creating scenes and characters. Not technically abandon-ware, you can still download TrueSpace in it's final version (7.6) for free. Commercial use is most likely prohibited unless you contact Microsoft.
What is particularly cool about TrueSpace is its simple interface and its easy to use workflow. As you can see from the artists shown below, you can create some remarkable renders using this application. If you want to learn more about the application, check the TrueSpace wikipedia entry to get started.
