I guess the title of this item implies I'll have more than 1 strand hair for free... but anyway! I present to you, my first SBH for Daz Studio. It won't work in any other program than Daz Studio with Iray. But it's free, so there you go :-)
It is tricky to use if you haven't used SBH before. Please read the readme to see how to apply it. It's not rocket science, but reading the readme will hopefully save some SBH frustrations.
It's a classic style, and it has a hair cap. It comes in 11 different colors, but you can create some yourself in the surfaces tab. It's also unlocked, so if you need to move it, shorten it, lengthen it, whatever, you can, just use the Object -> Edit Strand-Based Hair option from the Edit menu.
