Subject: Ok those who have read the Poser 5 manual...

A question for you. What functionality is missing from Poser 5 that is in the pro pack? Flash export I'm sure, anything else? I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade from Poser 3 to Poser 5 straight or go through the Poser 4/Pro pack bundle then to Poser 5. Opinions? Those who have read the manual? thanks Brian

  1. Do Poser 5 have bones set up for new figure? 2) It need full documation of dymnatic clothing, picture capture tool for texture map, hair, and bones including tutorial. 3) Screen video tutorial would be very nice. With all of these 3 will get you more customers. Waldoo

The manual has details on Flash export, animation, and settings, Viewpoint's VET, etc. Looks like the only things missing will be the advanced hosting plugins for the big 3D applications like Lightwave and 3DS Max. Those are supposed to be available later, after they work out the kinks with the new version of Poser.

  1. Yes, it has a setup room, almost identical to Pro Pack's.

  2. The manual has entire chapters devoted to texture-map creation, dynamic clothing, and hair. And I understood most of it after one reading.

  3. That would be nice. Maybe they'll have something buried in the content CD.

Glad to see you got your O's back, Waldoo. New keyboard? :)
