Subject: Icon images missing - how to fix?

FranOnTheEdge ( ) posted Mon, 29 September 2014 at 9:23 AM · edited Sun, 02 June 2024 at 3:34 AM

I've noticed recently that a lot of the little icons for things like 'reply' 'delete' and stuff like that are sometimes showing a broken image for the icon, now it's probably quicktime or java something not being up to date, does anyone one know what it is?

Not sure what that could be it does sound like a quicktime or java issue.  We have not had anyone else report this yet.

I will ask our programmers just to be sure something isn't going on.  If you see this again could you possible send me a screenshot and let me know what browser you are using?

Thanks

Hi TinaK,

I'm using Firefox 32.0.3 and here's the screen shot, it's in my inbox:

They've been like this since the site "upgrade" everywhere.

I don't even bother reporting site errors anymore.  It's not like they are going to change anything, so it's just a waste of time.

Not for everybody, in the interests of fairness... Chrome 37.0.2062.124

@Glitterati3D - I don't think your statement is true at all.  If this is a issue for everyone than yes we "do" make every effort to resolve it.

I also use Chrome as well and I don't see it that way.

And even though only FranOnTheEdge and yourself reported it will still be looked into.

I just tried Firefox and that's ok for me too. Have you tried the usual clear cache / delete cookies malarkey, Fran?

Good idea EnglishBob.

Thanks for your positive contribution.

It's more than like a setting in y'alls browser since everyone isn't seeing it the same in that same browser.
