As I recall E-on bought Poser before Smith Micro. So since E-on owns Vue and they owned Poser for a release it makes sense they wanted Poser so they could get figures into Vue.
As far as I remember, eFrontier from Tokyo owned Poser before Smith Micro. Before them it was Curious Labs, MetaCreations, and Fractal Designs. I have never heard of E-on owning Poser. When did that happen?

For instance, mirror a JCM. For instance, JCMrThighFwd. This morph is actually spread across 2 actors: rThigh and hip. On hip, it needs to mirror, and for rThigh, it needs to mirror and transfer to lThigh. In both cases, it needs to rename and setup master(s). This really should be built in.
I am with you on that. Currently, Poser does not support mirroring JCMs to the other side. I have an open ticket with the dev team on this alone, so (with some luck), the feature will eventually come. I just wanted you to know that the issue is known, and was added to the list of things to address over time. Here again, we have to be patient. :)

Thread: Looking for Poserfusion plugin for Lightwave | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
Thanks for the heads up, HartyBart! Makes me wonder why didn't Poser do the same on its own Fusion plugins to make them worth using. But even if the materials weren't mostly lost on exports, the geometry was still split and broken, as well as the UVs. If we sculpt over split geometry, it opens gaps in the mesh, and even if we don't sculpt, the seams still show in renders. We cannot subdivide split geometry, which is yet another bummer. If we wanted to retouch the UV mapping, the shells are all split and useless.
I can't wait for the new unimesh Poser 12 version. It's in the works with Rendo.

I don't know about Lightwave, but I have used PoserFusion for 3DSMAX, and at least in my experience, it is not worth the effort. Let me explain why. Poser doesn't support unimesh internally, meaning all rigged figure geometries will be split into separate split meshes, so you will NOT have the same geometry in anything exported from Poser. This applies to both geometries and UV mappings. If we weld the meshes back into 1 piece, that will produce an even more different vertex winding order, meaning we cannot use it for creating or exchanging morphs back to Poser, or any other software. The moment we export rigged figures from Poser, we will never get the original geometry back from it.
In addition, Poser shader nodes cannot be exported this way, or any other way. This is because Poser native shader nodes are incompatible with all other software. Unfortunately, most 3D applications are like that. DAZ Studio 3DL shader bricks are equally incompatible with Poser, and everything else. This means your exported scene from Poser not only will end up with broken geometry (Fusion plugins are no exception), but also most materials will be lost in the process.
Therefore Poser Fusion plugins are not worth the effort. My workaround is to simply export the scene as either FBX (may have compatibility issues) or plain OBJ, which is guaranteed to load anywhere. Poser native materials based on shader nodes will be lost anyway, so not much we could do about it, with or without Poser Fusion.

One thing I can tell you about exporting meshes from Poser is - don't do it. Poser does not support unimesh internally. This is the same with 3DSMAX and Maya, where none support unimesh geometry. In all these applications, the moment we import a grouped mesh with rigging, the mesh is automatically split into multiple separate meshes, and once this happens, you will never get the original mesh back. If you are exporting the figure just to use as a base for morphs, use the original OBJ from the Geometries folder instead. If you export from Poser, the mesh will be split into separate group geometries, having a different vertex winding order and count. The number of faces is still the same, but all vertexes shared between body groups will be duplicated. You cannot use this "broken" exported geometry for anything. Even if you weld it back together into 1 piece, that alone will change the vertex winding order and invalidate all your morphs.
Another thing is that the concept of "donors" is different between figures using legacy rigging or the newer ones with weight maps. With modern weight mapped figures, I would rather call this as "clones" if you want to use then solely for morph projections. A "clone" is a version of the figure shape that is more proper for morph projections. This concept is built-in into DAZ Studio, but in Poser we have to do it manually.
I absolutely agree with you on how poorly Poser projects morphs from figure to clothing. I have a ticket on this with Rendo, to improve projections and reduce distortions. The same applies to weight map projections, because these also introduce too much distortion (comparing to competing software). I spend more time cleaning up the distortions on morphs and weight maps than anything else in the conforming pipeline. However, modeling has always been quick comparing to rigging. No surprises there. It has always been like that, and Poser is no exception.
As for how Poser projects morphs and weight maps, I have no idea, since we cannot see the source code. But we know it's bad and it can improve, because nearly all competition does it better. Like I said, I have an open ticket on this, and it will be fixed over time. We just have to be patient.

Reallusion actually tried to support Poser at first, making a profile for HW Dawn. I have talked to their devs in Taiwan, and asked for it. They managed to make Transformer profiles for V4 and M4, but failed to make one for Dawn, or any other weight mapped figure for Poser. The reason was kind of obvious - Poser was incapable of exporting unimesh geometry, so the original geometry never matches the exported FBX. Maybe they could try again when Rendo adds unimesh support, but until then, there is no way to make this work with CC3 Transformer.
In my case, Dawn and all other HW figures have an identical version in DS, so if I can make a DS version of the character I want in CC3, I can make it happen. However, being a Poser guy, most of my library content is Poser-only. Converting from Poser to DS is cumbersome. I can't wait for Poser to finally support unimesh, for THEN Reallusion will finally be able to add Transformer support to Poser. That will take time, so we have to be patient. But it's coming! :D

@randym77 and @Penguinisto THANK YOU for using my contents and supporting me! :D
What wolf359 said is pretty much true - DAZ has been trying to get into the gaming market for many years now. That's the biggest market in the planet, moving more money every year than many other industries combined. They first incorporated Digimi's decimator and texture atlas plugins way back in DS3, when DS was still quite expensive. They then spent quite some money advertising DS as a way to create game characters on 3DCG magazines. They started a new company called "Morph3D" to use their contents to enter the real-time mobile avatar market, but that has fluked as well. They have partnered with Reallusion to bring DAZ figures into iClone, and sacrificed Genesis 3 and up to become game models, with low poly, simplified topology and simple-bone game engine rigging. They did everything they could, but I don't think the gaming industry will ever take them seriously. At least they tried.
However, when Reallusion released CC3 and the Transformer plugin, all of the sudden that had turn unnecessary for DAZ to turn Genesis into a game model, but it was already too late. Transformer does not use the figure's rigging or geometry, so even DawnSE can be converted into a game model just as well as Genesis 3 and 8, without having to sacrifice TriAx rigging, the figure topology, or geometry poly count. It was unfortunate for DAZ - a case of bad timing.
For the rest of us, I am not a fan of trying to bring Genesis into Poser because we don't get all the features. Genesis is best used in DS. My approach to this was making morphs that try to make Dawn look like the shape I need in Poser, and in most cases, that has worked for me. If more vendors decide to support Dawn 2.0 when she comes out, we might have all the variety we need. Even if they make it for DS only, it's still easy to port those to Poser. And when Rendo makes Poser unimesh-compliant, it will be FINALLY easier to move morphs back and forth between Poser and DS.

Anyway, speaking of which, Hivewire has a similar anime head-graft thingy that I really like as well.
Did not know they kept the DS fires burning over there, but it makes total sense. Just that you rarely see it in DS (outside of HW, naturally).
Would that be one of my Universal heads? I have 2 at HW: the "Universal Anime Head", and the "Universal Chibi Head", where both come in native Poser and DS formats. :)
Another way to handle figures that are not meant for Poser is to make a morph for an existing Poser figure that looks like the figure you want. In this example, I have morphed DawnSE to look like Aiko6 in Poser.

Yes, if your editor supports code hinting for external libraries. I can't tell with Sublime, but with Visual Code and PyCharm hinting is available as soon as "import ...." was successfully typed (and the editor imported/analysed the lib).
Maybe you have to create the empty file "__ init__.py" in the directory where you stored the lib. This tells Python that it is allowed to load libs from this path.
Yes, Sublime Text supports both code completion and code hinting. However, I believe that "__ init__.py" file was deprecated in Python 3. We only need it in Python 2, which has already reached it's end-of-life cycle last year. Unless you are writing Python2 code, I believe we no longer need that file to identify module folders. Yay!
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. I will check out that code hinting link for Sublime Text. Does it do the same as your library?

PyCharm is the most complete Editor ever. The version for Python is free and complete, with all bells and wistles. No need to pay for it.
I've got a copy of PyCharm from Humble Bundle that would expire in 1 year. After that, I would have to pay for the subscription if I wanted to keep using it, so I didn't even started. What if I liked it, but couldn't afford the subscription later? Now I wonder - if there is a free version with all the bells and whistles, why would people pay for the subscription? There must be a catch, right?

I have tried changing the email from my account profile, and I am having the same issue, where it claims to have sent me a confirmation email, but it never arrives. If it was fixed before, it's not working anymore. I have tried multiple times, and also checked my spam folder - no emails were received. I have waited until the next day, and still no emails from Rosity. Please help.
