Subject: Is it worth it to convert older eyes to RealEyes?

I was messing around with some of my favorites last night and I noticed that most textures have to be scaled up soooo much that I'm unsure what they'll look like. Yeah, I know, try it and see-- I guess I was scared I go to bed furious I'd wasted all that time. I know Raven's eyes were converted and looked pretty good. Anybody else had good experiences? Emily

Yes, it looks like they are 1300x950. There may a lot of blur when sized up. It all depends how small your original eyes are and the graphic program that you're using. You could also try to sharpen the resized eyes. I'm gonna try this and post how it looks...

Ok, I resized and put my eye texture on the left eye. I doesn't look all that bad (and yes, it's grey).

It looks good-- and I'm saying this since I don't know if you mean the eye on the left or her left eye. They both look good. I'm assuming the eye on the left as it looks a teensy bit blurry, but bright and "Real." I'll be thrulled if it's the other way around. And thank you. Emily

Emily, Yes, it works and can look extremely nice. I converted all the eyes textures from Raven to Real Eyes and they look great. Take a look at this thread for examples. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=601991

Sorry, it's late, I didn't realize you'd already seen the Raven textures converted to Real eyes. BTW, I'm doing Nialla's eyes too.
