Subject: A very positive experience at Inagoni

booksbydavid ( ) posted Sun, 06 July 2014 at 12:06 PM ยท edited Mon, 29 June 2026 at 9:11 AM

I posted this over at Carrara Cafe, but I thought it ought to be spread around a bit. I'm not adding any links or anything, so I don't think I'm stepping on anyone's toes.

"I just bought Baker from Inagoni. During the checkout process, I got a nice surprise. Under the Baker entry were listed Inagoni's other plugins with discounted prices. I was a bit shocked (in a nice way). The only plugins from Inagoni that I didn't have were Primivol and Replica, so I grabbed them. I saved $3 on Primivol and $4 on Replica.

I'm assuming this is a normal thing, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that the last time I bought from Inagoni (which was a while ago). Anyway, very happy camper. :)

Also, I might add that I was having some issues with the Baker demo popping up a virus warning from Avast!, my virus protection software. I've been communicating with Julien of Inagoni for a few weeks trying to find out what was going on. He was very patient with me and did all he could to solve the problem. Ultimately, the problem just disappeared on its own. No virus found. Great customer service.

Too bad I've bought all his plugins now, or I'd definitely go buy some more. :)"

I'm not affiliated with Inagoni in any way, just a happy customer. :)

maybe the next carrara challenge will be a plugin one?

Sorry. I've been waiting a couple of weeks for the Baker plugin. After the virus warning thing was cleared up, well, my excitement just got the better of me. :) Didn't mean to sound like Dart. I promise I'll be my old grumpy self in no time. Heh, heh.

Dart replied to the post I made over at DAZ, but the DAZ forum won't let me post a reply. Grumble, grumble.

As far as which plugin is best, it's hard to say. I've got the most use so far out of plugins from Digital Carvers Guild. I used Anything Grows quite a bit in that plant alien wip I was working on at Carrara Cafe. I've started working more with Carrara's shaders lately and I've been using Inagoni's Veloute a lot so far. Great stuff.

I'm going to get DCG's Enhance:C pretty soon. I think that one will be worth the price and then some as far as unleashing Carrara's shader potential (at least for me). I'm going to attempt to create skin shaders and use Inagoni's Baker to translate them into 2D texture sets for use in Poser as well as Carrara. I use both Poser and Carrara and being able to go back and forth with the same textures would be great.

Same here. Recently, however, something just clicked in my old brain and I began to understand at least some of them.

Don't know. I was logged in. Downloaded some backgrounds from Ron. I saw Dart's reply to the post I made there. I got to the page to type the message, but it wouldn't post the message. I tried several times with no success. Finally gave up.

Not worth worrying about, just frustrating.
