Subject: Rogaine for Mike 2

arrowhead42 ( ) posted Mon, 09 July 2007 at 10:53 AM · edited Mon, 17 June 2024 at 7:36 AM

Well, maybe I don't need Rogaine, but I do need some hair for poor ol' bald Mike 2. Does anyone know where i can find some free or at least inexpensive hair for him? I have plenty of hair for M3, Poser 4 and 5 people, etc and I've tried adapting it to Mike 2 but it just doesn't look good. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks -

It seems bizarre, but I really don't know of any.    If I find any, I'll post them here.

There is - or was - lots of suitable stuff over at DAZ.  Morphing Flat Top being one I can call to mind.

For my own likeness, when I had long hair, I used to use a V2 hair, San Francisco.  RDNA sell Loki Hair, which fits a lot of characters.

As for stuff here, I really don't know.

😄  I just got Morphing Flat Top, at Daz3D;  free, for having joined the platinum Club.  M2 was free also!

RuntimeDNA has some. I like the Billy hair - good for a western character epecailly. They have a lot of cool M2 things. Al of the pridcuts at the link can be applied to M2.  Enjoy, Seattletim

Just use any hair and scale it using the x,y, z axis - parent it to M2's head and resave as a prop.

I'm not sure how to save it as a prop once I get it sized correctly. Doesn't sound too difficult. Can you tell me how to do it?

To save anything(imported geometries...) as a Prop, just save it to the Prop Library.  You will have made a Poser .PP2 file, in your current ?:PoserRuntimelibrariesprops directory.

When your asked to save as a Smart Prop, say yes, and the next time you use that Prop Library Preset; it will load into the scene, Parented, if you had it Parented(to M2's head} when you saved it to the library.

You can go to Netherworks and download the original Hair Conversion Kit. It's in the shop but it is a  freebie. Mike 2 is one of the supported figures.

(1.4MBs)

Neterworks' Hair Conversion Kit looks awasome, for converting all my Daz3D Hair Props.

Check Out was really easy, too!

Thanks!

I went to their site and since I'm not a member I wanted to log in, but darned if I could find anywhere on the site to register! I had to go to their "contact us" link, and send a message asking them where and how to register. Now I'm just playing a waiting game to hear back from them. Once I do, and I get registered, I'm gonna download it... it looks like exactly what I need!
