Quote - The base Jessie  is the ugliest character I have ever seen. E-Frontier should be ashamed to provide such a misshapen and deformed creature. She looks like an alien. At least the base V3 looks human.
I don't care how many morph packages they make, I refuse to use Jessie. Poor work should not be rewarded with acceptance.

Thank you for your opinon, it is duely noted and accepted.
There are those with an opinion different to yours, as is there right, (and yours).

Now, shall we move on?

I'm speechless. This is what I get for trading witticisms with an unarmed person.

I like Jessi!!  Glamorous Jessi, Clothes, and Pose by Jim Burton.  Textures are Lulu Lee's Bunny Candy.

Quote - None of the DAZ figures even work in the facerooom though and you have to buy all the extra morphs for them to change their appearance so why Jessi's considered bad if you have to buy morphs for her too is beyond me.

Really, because the V3 headmorphs are properly part of the basic figure, but Daz split them off for commercial reasons. Compare V2 where the head morphs are integral. In contrast, the RDNA headmorphs for Jessi count as 3rd party support - which is not to say anything against them, just that they are not integral the way the V3 head morphs really are. It was never intended by Daz that anyone would ever use V3 without the head morphs package.

Jim, Glamorous Jessi sounds very nice. Can't you remap her as well?

Jim Burton ( ) posted Tue, 25 July 2006 at 12:24 PM

I actually started on remapping her to V1/V2 mapping, didn't get very far, though.   I don't have the right kind of tools to match her to V3's mapping, which is what most would really want, I'd guess

If anybody out there is intrested in doing it for me under commission I'd love to hear from them, BTW

Mick, since no one else responded to this ... the image towards the top fo page 2 you posted is Judy, I recognize her mouth and eyes.  Lovely job.  I've done some work with Judy too.  She is more versitile than people give her credit for.

"Another figure that is worth looking at is Nea, a Posette workover, here in freestuff. Not too good in closeups, but excellent for midrange and long range renders! And an incredible amount of morphs."

Just possibly she's gotten a little bit better.  This is my WWG adaptation of NEA.  I cloned the figure's Head and body (excluding the Hip) with Arduino's P4WWG's Hip, to create NEAwwg, so it's NEA with anatomically correct, fully functional what'sits).
I remapped the hip in UV Mapper to conform with the rest of the body's texturing.  No longer is it necessary to surgically alter textures to fit the hip as was the case with P4WWG.
Since NEA is textured to conform to V2,  so does NEAwwg.  Here she's actually textured with Arduino's Vicky PT texture.
While some write off Posette as pase', I still insist that there's still life in the old broad.

> Quote - I am really fed up with V3 ,but the unimesh UV-Maps seems to be the best  mapping solution at all.I wish there was an easy way to make V2 and Judy taking V3 textures.

Try Universal Texture Convertor; I used it to convert a V3 texture named Renata to V2, and then dressed it on my NEAwwg.  Since part of my cloning of NEAwwg was to incorporate Travelers Eve 4 eyes into the figure, I used Photoshop to adapt Renata's Eye texture to my figure as well.  I hope the results speak for them selves.

Nea looks nice, but I've been spoiled by Hi-Res characters like Aiko 3, Vicky 3, and Glamorous Jessi...

Here's another example of a V3 texture adapted to V2 by Texture Converter.  Again my NEAwwg is posed for this example.  Posed in Pro Pack and postworked in Photoshop (mostly blurring tool around the edges, a little healing brush applied to her derriere, and a Soft Omni Light filter for the romance. As I plan to post this in my gallery, I invite you to come and critique the hell out of it.  It's only by criticism that we can grow. Yours truly, David P. Hoadley

Jim, it would be completely sufficient to map GJ to V2. As DPH points out above, the "Universal" (hollow laugh) Texture Converter will convert V3 textures to V2, so if you had GJ taking V2 textures, she could also use any V3 texture, assuming the user has UTC.

It would improve the usability of the product so much, it might very well be commercially worth your while to persevere.
