Who is "fabiana"?
Fabiana is just a working mom. For some years, I have been an artist doing paintings and I also did web design for a long time. But on discovering 3D, I felt that I finally found my real playground. Talking about the person behind the screen, I am a housekeeper, a homework helper...just a woman living in a family with a husband and 2 daugthers. And yes, an artist and 3D designer, aka FKDesign, since 2002.
Have you had any traditional art experience or training?
Yes, many years with oils and acrylics, plus some sculpture and modeled with clays and other elements - lots of handcrafts and artisan things.
Your gallery work is absolutely beautiful. Do you have any particular favorites?
Hmmm....I love gothic style, but I can fly from the most romantic goth style to children, faeries and angels...it's just a matter of attitude each day. But if you ask me, I think I prefer the gothics.
What are you currently working on?
I just finished a clothing set for Maddie, before setting to go off
for a short trip. Next is hair, dynamics, clothing...and a couple
of secret things that will be fun to do.
What software is in your digital toolset?
I use mainly Poser for all...even modelling in some ways. Also, Quidam, Anim8or, Photoshop, Corel, etc...
How would you describe your creative process?
I used to have dreams about things...I know it sounds weird, but it is the truth. Many times I'll see the items in my dreams, and then sometimes I'll create them in real life. I already told that Noctia was completely dreamed up. Other times, I'll see some things that can be done in 3D, and then I go there. I love to do detailed jewelry and clothing that look just as in real life.
Where do you find inspiration for your products, and do you have any particular favorite there?
Movies, books, and magazines all bring ideas... As told above, gothics are really good to my artistic taste.
Having collaborated with ilona on a few of your products, can you tell us a bit about the experience of collaborating online?
The experience was good because I never did it before. I learned a lot, and it can be really fun.
Have you ever created product in response to customer feedback?
Ahh yes, constantly! The Maddie and Laura characters came to life that way, mixed with my personal interest because they were done with the approximation of my daughters, Lucila and Melina. The recently released Maddie Dress, "Kissin' Cheeks," was expressly asked for by many customers. In response, I delayed other projects and did it now...I know they are happy. The Expansion of SageBabylon, with the Stairs, was another requested thing. Now I have 2 other requests for more expansions of this set: doors, arches...even the single candle was a suggestion of Cupcake and RGUS.
Do you have any advice for aspiring Digital Content Developers?
Yes, work hard. Don´t give up when the 3d meshes don't do what you wish. Pay attention to the dreams and crazy ideas...in the 3D world, all is possible.
How has this online Community (Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and learning?
In a million of ways... I came here after years of being a vendor in another market, and I must admit that I really love Renderosity now. I like the way the things work, and of course, the team here is out of this world. All are really warm, helpful, caring, and I am deeply grateful to them...all of them: Jenifer, Debbie, Stacy, Kristi, Xenophonz, Preston, Jason, Nick... sorry if I missed somebody here in this list.
Do you have any final words?
Just a BIG thanks to my customers, because they make my life better each time they purchase my products. Thanks from my heart, and never hesitate to contact me... it is always a pleasure to interact with you.
