Loves Poem She stood there, nothing better to say, so she said she loved him, His eyes tuned into hers, and glistened in the light, And all around them, the air stood still, And carried words between them Though neither spoke at all, The moment caught on high wind spikes, Carried high above their heads, And focused into tiny prisms, Scattered all around Lifted like autumn leaves Flicked gently by a flowing breeze Measured by the amount of time It takes for eyes to see You have to look with different eyes sometimes And see deeper than you thought To gaze upon the velvet blue And mastery once taught By mystique elders, faces lined With decades of stoic wisdom At tortured shrines and palaces Fascinating words of solace Spoken gently on a whim, She stood there, nothing better to say, so she said she loved him.
