Renderosity's MarketPlace introduces new look for vendor product pages!

In an effort to constantly improve on the buyer experience and overall funcionality and look of the MarketPlace, Renderosity is introducing a sleek and modern look to vendor's product pages. A few of the changes you'll notice include; higher-resolution and more detailed images through the use of a javascript code called lightbox, tabbed content areas for product descriptions, reviews and more, thumbnail images immediately below product header image for easy to find additional images and finally the need for less verical scrolling to view the information important to the buyer.

Previous to this upgrade, a user would have to scroll down through a majority of the page's content in order to see additional product images. These additional thumbnail images will now be seen without the need of scrolling and larger images can be viewed without being re-directed to a new page and losing valuable product description's and other related information.

Please note that in keeping with Renderosity's 'Content Advisory' none of the vendor's thumbnails for any one product can contain nudity, even if the image they link to is flagged with the content advisory flag. This is because all of the vendor's thumbnails will appear in the lightbox. If a vendor does, in fact, have any images flagged with the content advisory, a notice will be displayed under the images in the lightbox to alert viewers.

(Below you'll see a captured image of these thumbnails that are located directly underneath the main product header image).

On these new pages, the user will also notice that there is a more streamlined look to how the product description and other important information is displayed on the page. This information will now be found in a 'tabbed' content box so the user can more clearly find what it is they're looking for.

Below is a shot of what each of the current tabbed areas will look like. If the vendor does not have any product images in their lightbox or a text description of their product, a user will have to click on the 'editorial' tab for product information and/or additional images. During this transition phase, please know that none of the existing product information is, or has been, lost. While updating, a majority of a products information can be found on the 'Editorial' page.

Gallery Tab

Currently this tab is pulling all images but we're working on a system that will allow for blocking of any images that you don't want associated with your product.

More Items Tab

In this area the first several characters of your text description will display beside each product. With that in mind, it's important that each of your products has a text description.

Are you interested in saving product images locally for future use? This still can be accomplished with these new product pages.

Here's how it's done:

1) right-click on product thumbnail.

2) choose 'open link in new tab'.

3) go to new tab and save it as you normally would.

Renderosity vendors are currently in the process of adjusting their product pages in order to better conform to these changes. It is our hope that these changes will provide for a better user experience both from a buyer and vendor standpoint. We would like to thank our terrific vendors for their patience and help while we endure this time of change.
