Out in the real world, we all have hobbies and interests in addition to the work we may be most known for. Here at Renderosity, our vendors have their own stories to tell. Things they do away from their products... special projects, awards, citations, or things of interest that most may not know about.
In an effort to better introduce our vendors to the rest of the community, we've asked them to tell us more about themselves, and share their stories. Rather than a straightforward interview, these are their stories, in their own words.
This week, we find out all about artist and vendor, Tito Vidinha, better known to the community as whitemagus.

Hello everyone!
My name is Tito Vidinha (for English speakers it spells Titu, or you can just say Titus, as it is also accurate since it is the original Latin word). I am originally from Lisbon Portugal, I was born and grew up in the beautiful coast line of Cascais near the great beaches of the Atlantic ocean.
I had a pretty normal childhood until I saw some people surfing on the beach and on TV. I knew I wanted one of those boards, so saved some money, made some deals and by the age of 14 I was able to buy a surfboard. An amazing experience and I can safely say I do not regret any of the days that I missed school and college to go surfing.
By the age of 17, I got into college for a degree in architecture. I never really hadan art interest or design-related drive before I went to college, but architecture just clicked in me. Before, I did enjoy mathematics, physics, and later geometry, 2D, 3D a lot, which gave me the grade to access University. Later on I got more and more into design, art, and aesthetics. After finishing college, sustainability became another interesting theme which I was able to make a curse to learn more about it.
I got into PCs when I was in college, and after one year of Autocad 2D I went for 3D. It was great, still is! It is an amazing world because you are the creator, and in there the rules are defined buy your imagination. It is a way of expression in a way. 3D gives the possibility to create without spending too much money! Sometimes this dimension became reality, and from all sorts of artists and creators in the 3D world. I still love doing it, however it has been really hard to find the logistics to do it, also hard to have a steady financial income from it, because I live in a “Pirate ship†and I don’t want to be a “Pirate.â€
I liked 3D so much that at first I only modeled. Later on I got into rendering and that was when Renderosity came. After I saw a couple of models being sold I knew I wanted to sell some to. I just posted a couple and I remember some members emailing me to make more. Well, I wanted to, but, it takes a lot of time and effort… so I kept on doing it more as a hobby and at the same time to improve my render skills. And yes, I really enjoy doing it, and a big “thank you†for the people that supported me as a vendor here. However, I never really had the chance to put out all the products that I would've liked to…
As many may have realized my favorite theme to create is architecture and urban planning, I am deeply interested in the power of space transformation to bring clean, healthy spaces, not just for society, but for the environment. My philosophy is to heal people and the environment through architecture.Â
Now, I will talk a bit more about my profession, which takes the biggest part of my life:
I am a chartered architect by profession (RIBA Chartered Architect, Registered Architect OA architects order, LiderA assessor sustainability certification). I have worked and made architecture for South America, Europe, Africa, and most recently, Asia. Sometimes I work as freelance, other times I work for companies either small scale or large scale. And my area of expertise is futuristic or contemporary going to minimal, and of course archetypes. I work either on large scale or small scale in the fields of architecture and urban planning.
Lately, I have been doing more concepts, and also struggling to make sure my points come across, mostly regarding functionality aesthetics and sustainability. It can be very easy to make people live with great conditions, but it can also be very hard, by this I mean dealing with clients' companies and government…
Someday, I would also like to have the opportunity to produce architecture for the movie industry; something like strong concepts designed in futuristic, beautiful and amazing scenarios… It is so nice to dream…
Hugs to everyoneÂ- - - - - -Â
