My husband, Jeffrey, took this photo of me while we were on a sketching outing at a dairy farm in Pittsburgh, PA (USA). Aren't the geese great? They were negotiating licensing/royalty issues with me... Can't you tell? ;)BIOSketching and painting have been my raison d'etre since I was a tot. In 1984 I launched my own business, T. LEE DESIGN STUDIO, designing for the Giftware Industry in the USA and abroad. That experience was (and still is) exciting! Have a look at my website, www.rosielane.com. Its a bit out dated, but I hope to make some time to work on it again soon!
Eleven years ago, Jeffrey gave me his (rejected!) 486mb PC - my first encounter with computers! It was love at first site! I discovered a wonderful vector drawing program called XARA and literally ate up every tutorial I could find. Gary Priester (XARA ZONE) was my hero! 3D caught my eye a short time later but I vowed (to myself) not to waste my time... That vow was quickly broken when I chanced upon Poser. Now I'm a self-proclaimed Poser addict! Finally, I swore off animation, but that bit me as well! The computer is so stimulating and versatile. It's great fun!
I still love to sculpt, work in watercolor and pen and ink. My latest goal is to work in oils. Even though the computer is a marvelous tool, I believe that one should never stop drawing from life. It's easy to whittle away hours in front of the "box", but getting outside with a sketch pad is the best thing for the soul and mind! Which leads me to my outdoor *love*, gardening! :)
