Newbury Park, CA – September 10, 2008 – MAXON Computer USA, the developers of CINEMA 4D and BodyPaint 3D, today announced that Ben Mathis, a gaming industry veteran will lead a comprehensive 3D texture painting tutorial featuring MAXON BodyPaint 3D entitled, “Real World Texture Painting Tips for Game Developers”, at the Austin Game Developers Conference 2008, taking place September 15 – 17. This session comes on the heels of a highly well received and attended 3D texture painting tutorial lead by Mathis at the San Francisco GDC earlier this year.
As a professional user of MAXON’s BodyPaint 3D, Mathis has relied on the software to create realistic and hand painted CG textures and backgrounds in many of the popular game titles he has contributed to including GUN, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Tony Hawk Project 8 and the massively multiplayer game, Eve Online.
