The 29th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition

Agora Gallery and proudly sponsor the annual Chelsea International Fine Art Competition, a renowned art contest that is juried by prominent museum curators and art experts. It is a great opportunity for juror-selected artists to gain exposure by exhibiting their work in the famed Chelsea art gallery district as well as by being promoted in online and print promotions.

The Chelsea International Fine Art Competition is open to visual artists from anywhere in the world at any stage in their careers. In previous years, selected artists have worked in painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, mixed media and print.

Our fine art contests are juried by influential voices in the New York art world. The competition juror in 2014 is Mr. Carlo McCormick, one of New York’s noted culture critics and curators. A teacher and guest lecturer at universities and colleges across the country, Mr. McCormick has also written many books and catalogs on the subject of contemporary art and artists.

Awards will be distributed to juror-selected artists. They include participation in the renowned Chelsea International Fine Art Competition Exhibition in the heart of Chelsea, New York, cash prizes, artist profiles, exclusive internet promotion, and other valuable promotional services. These awards, valued at a total of $62,000, are specifically chosen to help artists advance their careers and maximize their exposure to collectors and the New York art scene.

Art to Heart: Supporting the Children's Heart Foundation

Congenital heart defects (CHDs) are the foremost birth defect in the United States, making research into diagnosing, treating and preventing them of vital importance. Families of children with CHDs need information and emotional support as they learn to deal with this difficult new reality. Agora Gallery is proud to support the Children’s Heart Foundation, this country’s leading organization committed to researching CHDs and supporting the children and their families.

As part of our mission to use art to make the world a better place, Agora Gallery donates 15% of its proceeds from the sale of artwork from the art competition exhibition to the Children’s Heart Foundation. Artists who wish to donate a portion of their sale proceeds to this organization are welcome to do so.
