Tell us a bit about yourself. Who is Zeddicuss?

My name is Ava and me and my partner Chris are working together to create content for Zeddicuss. We are both 27 years old and live in Cambridge, England. It is a beautiful place and it is very inspirational. I am originally from Bulgaria but we met online and we have been living together since around 20 days after we first met! Many people were telling us that we are crazy, but it just felt right. So, it has been quite amazing 2 years, especially because of our decision to work together at Renderosity. We love the community here, it has such a fantastic spirit.

We are both big epic fantasy fans, I in particular am a Lord of The Rings nut, I can talk about it for hours, not many people can stand it, fortunately Chris likes it as well! Lol. I have always wanted to do something 3D related and I am so happy that it is what I do now. Now we spend each day together, working hard creating art and it has been extremely fun. A dream job for both of us really!

When I am not working, I love painting with watercolors, writing poems and painting miniature action figures. I speak five languages, it is one of my passions to learn about new cultures and visit new places. This year we went on a road trip around Europe - it was an amazing experience!

How did you originally get started in this career choice? What made you decide to become a vendor? As I said before, I came to England 2 years ago and I needed to find a job quickly. Chris was 3D modelling at that time and he introduced me to the world of 3D. I immediately fell in love with it and was eager to learn as much as possible each day. We then thought of how cool it would be to be working from home, creating art and making our own business. This is how it all started. At that time , Chris was working for Cambridge University. Unfortunately, he has been suffering from CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) for the last 6 years. It was a very difficult for him to commute to work each day and hide his illness from the people around him. This is one of the other reasons that made us consider becoming a full time vendor at Renderosity.

Since then, working from home has helped and his health has improved slightly. He is working very hard each day, following a long term health program. It will be a long journey ahead but we are both positive he will make a full recovery.

We are really pleased with our progress in the last 2 years. I still remember the day when we started rendering in Poser for the first time and how long it took us. Now we get excited each time we start a new product, it's a great feeling putting those creative ideas into action. I hope for a very exciting future at Renderosity. :)

Could you list some current favorites among the products you've created and tell us a little bit about them? All the products we create are our babies and they are all very dear to us. One of my personal favorites is Dark Reflections. The inspiration behind it was my passion for fantasy combined with inspiration from my favorite music genre: alternative rock. I love daydreaming and enjoy being in my own little world, this product definitely goes to my top 3.

Another is For His Eyes Only. We are both very passionate about photography and that's how For His Eyes Only came to life.

Also, Coyote Wild Bar. It's actually an image of my dream bar. I would love to build it one day and make really cool rock parties, hehe! :D

What is currently in your digital toolset, and what could you not do without? Poser Pro 2014, Daz Studio 4.5 and 4.8, Photoshop, Modo, Carrara and Blender. They are all essential to us really. Right now I am really enjoying making use of the new Iray render engine for Daz, it simply makes things look stunning! Poser though, will always have a special place in my heart, how could you not love it?

What would you offer as best advice for those looking to get started in content creation? Love what you do and be very patient! There will be many difficult times, but try to learn a little every day and in the end, it will all come together. My personal advice is to try and stay focus on one thing in the beginning. It is very important to be passionate about the things you create, as this will help you in the process. Remember, the hard work is definitely worth it! :)

Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to the Renderosity team for their support over the last two years. It's truly a great honor to be vendor of the month. It has been an amazing journey for us and we are extremely positive about our future at Renderosity.
