another attempt to get "that fish" just right! great fish and plants from toucan.co.jp, thanks!
my own tiling leaf texture on the floor and inside the bowl. the hard part was all the lights, there are over 10, including a big soft spotlight straight down into the water from above and two more underwater for the fish. many attempts failed - with a big highlight on the water that obscured the fish - this one just missed! there's a big tree canopy and it's the moon, not the sun.
thanks for your patience and very helpful comments as i continue the attempts.

This is amazing work!!! I can tell how hard it would be to light such a complicated scene. I doubt I'd have the patience for it. My hat's off to you for this one!

Great work ! I like the "sujet" and the style very much ! And struggeling with a tide-pools image, I can imagine how hard it is to achieve natural underwater-sunlight ! But it works ! Beautiful ! Thanks, chr
