For the week of October 5, 2015, we take a look at the works of art created by Renderosity members posting in the ShareShot gallery .

The ShareShot Gallery is unique among Renderosity galleries in that it is focused on the photography of everyday. The pressure to create a perfect photo or poetic image is removed for members who post in the ShareShot. Like the name, the gallery simply wants members to share photos that are meaningful to them. It can be a shot of their latest baseball game or, as in our splash image by anahatac, a personal photo from their family album.

After spending an hour or so in the ShareShot gallery, I really came to appreciate the freedom and personal nature of the photography. Sure they aren't the best in quality, but there's something more this gallery has to offer. I think it allows for members to share their history as well as their photographs. And that makes the ShareShot gallery unique: you get to know the members and their personalities through the images they take of their world. A simple photo of a woman's beautiful hair styling becomes a gift to the viewer. And if a good portion of art is personal expresssion, these images certainly qualify. Not all, but many are unconscious art works. And I think that is very cool.

I've chosen 12 artists to represent the range photographs that members have shared in the ShareShot gallery. The work is so interesting in this gallery that it was hard to choose only 12. Click on their gallery links to discover more of their works. And check out the short video at the bottom of this article which features all of the artists listed here. Remember, it's only a small sampling of the remarkably personal images being shared by Renderosity members in this gallery!
