Renderosity News

  • Gallery of the week is the Horror Genre. Thousands of gruesome and weird images are posted in the horror genre at Renderosity. I was impressed with the variety of subjects in this genre; yes, you get the vampires, zombies and aliens, but there are an amazing amount of landscapes, houses, alien worlds and even fractal art. Be sure to watch the GOW video for 10 of my favorite images in this genre.

  • Are you new to Renderosity or just simply wondering if Renderosity's Prime Membership is right for you? Today, we'll take a look at why Prime has become so popular amongst our devoted community and why it's such an easy decision if you love digital art. If you're a current Prime Member and aren't sure when your membership expires just remember you can view your subscription status HERE.

  • In just a few short weeks we'll be celebrating Prime's 6th Anniversary and, as usual, we'll be celebrating with a large group of new releases and a package of FREE products!

  • TruForm lives up to his name! Read the interview with our Vendor of the Month for May, TruForm. Hailing from South Africa, TruForm is "an entirely self taught artist". If you spend 10 minutes in his store and gallery at Renderosity, I think you'll see that he did a very good job of self-teaching.

  • Mental Ray for 3ds Max is available directly from NVIDIA -- for free starting this week. It includes all the functionality 3ds Max users rely on, coupled with updated workflows and enhanced material definition language (MDL) support. Plus, it delivers up to 7x faster rendering with its easy to use GI-Next global illumination when using a top-end GPU.

  • Maxon's Cineversity Newsletter for May is now out. This month's new offerings feature a great tutorial series on packaging design, the first six presentations at NAB 2017 (watch for the rest over the next month) and our ongoing series of Quick Tips.

  • GPU Technology Conference took place this last week in San Jose, CA. This amazing conference, created and managed by NVIDIA, is one of my favorites as it focuses in on tomorrow's technologies like artificial intelligence, deep learning and virtual reality. Be sure to read my daily reports from this last week and keep you eyes out for my GTC Wrap-Up which will be out this week.
