Description
Nine years ago today, on a rain dampened morning, we walked through this arched entry and into the city hall in Ankara Turkey, clutching our stack of many stamped and notarized papers. He wore blue denim jeans and button down shirt, I wore black jeans and a sage green blouse, a jasmine blossom tucked behind my ear.
With the help of an interpreter, a lovely lady judge, the city hall clerk and the janitor (who graciously stood in as our witnesses as we knew no one else) we said our vows while seated in the small front lobby. It was a very intimate, romantic, yet relaxed ceremony.
As we left the building, the sun made it's appearance as if it too, smiled on our new life together.

How lovely! We were just talking about you this morning, about your wedding and what a wonderful story that was. Isn't that odd? It isn't like we discuss you over morning coffee every day, but somehow the subject came up on your anniversary. :) Well. Happy Anniversary, my friend! May you have many, many more. It's a gift to find "the one," no matter where they are in the world, and you and your husband are fortunate, indeed! :)

So simple - yet so charming... I am a fan of such simple things in life and you had created memories, and because of it never to be forgotten... very precious indeed Yvonne. (apologies for running a wee bit late LOL)
