Description
Within this opaque cocoon
I struggle
to free my wings
uncertain what awaits me
yet welcoming the change
Longing to feel the sun against me
moving gracefully towards the future
glistening with exertion
dazzling in my true skin
showing the brilliance of my unique colours
Hope teases my taste buds
fleeting, teasing, tart, sweet, robust,
an addictive flavour outside of normalcy
that tantalizes, entices and sates
my hungry soul
I have the strength within me
and Time is not my enemy
in this dance
that some may see as a struggle
that I see as simply Life
