Description


This is for TwoPynts son, HalfPynt. The restored 'Black 5' No. 5305 'Alderman A E Draper' as it would have looked in 1937 when it belonged to the London Midland & Scottish Railway. Designed by Sir William Stanier and built by Armstrong Whitworth of Newcastle-on-Tyne in 1936. 5305 was part of a Batch of 326

We can admire the efficiency of modern motors, etc. but none of them can beat the pure entertainment value of a working steam engine. This is a classic portrait of a classic engine at the height of a period.
