So many things happened during The Edo Period and here is my piece of work on how the Edo period was like.

Very lovely ! Mother - daughter ? One is more traditional and the other more modern for that period. Really like her expression. Beautiful staging. Like the misty look. Gives it a laid back feel. Btw. to me the water could be better. Have you tried a specular material for water ? It will give you very realistic water.

@ rajib yah for some reason i didn't like the water feel as well, i will try to use different materials for the water next time to make it look much more realistic ^^

great render; the palette is beautifully controlled too.
My ha'penny's worth regarding the water, I don't think its bad; given the subdued and diffuse lighting of this scene, you probably dont want anything too glossy. But if you feel like experimenting, I have used DAZ's built in shader to good effect on occasion, or for complete stillness, glass shaders can work well too. Alternatively you can try a raytraced reflection shader ( at around 95%) and reduce the opacity of the surface. The only drawback of that method is you dont get any refraction on objects below the surface.
