Maybe this is one of those trees that suffers from thin sap? Kinda like those slightly anemic people who need to wear sweaters in summer? Brilliant, deliciously colorful shot!

Well if it's an old tree they do feel the cold in all weathers you know. All it needs now is a scarf and hat :)
