Subject: Is Culling Broken on 6.3??

Hello there.

I have BS 6.0 on my old computer and just installed 6.3 to my new computer but I'm having issues with culling while painting textures.

Got the "Hidden Surface Removal" set to "Per Pixel" and "Precision" set to 50 but when I try to paint the bottom of a finger it goes right through, see pic:

Now I turned on my old computer and tried the very same thing on 6.0 and the finger painted correctly with the same culling settings I am using on 6.3.

Is culling broken on 6.3?

If so, could someone post a link to the download of 6.0? I couldn't find the 6.0 zip in my rendo order and I only found 6.3 download link on the web.

Thanks!

Update: I installed 6.2 on my new computer and culling works fine on 6.2 so it does indeed appear to be broken on 6.3.

Hello Toyen,

I'm away from home and be back in a few days to check it.

Best regards

Adjust the precision setting up and see if that helps. 85 seemed to work well with painting the fingers of PE.

Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?

Hello Toyen,

Back home and i'm working on V7. Try the bwldrd's solution. With a setting at 70, it works fine on my side with a 6.3.

Best regards
