Meet Renderosity's 2007 Rookie of the Year

Mar 12, 2008 at 10:14 am by Store Staff

The Rookie of the Year is awarded to the Vendor who started in 2007 with the highest revenue. It can be tough to become quickly successful in such a large market of professional vendors providing top quality products. We always welcome new talent, and are proud to have someone start up and immediately begin offering popular products in the MarketPlace.

Congratulations to Renderosity's first Rookie of the Year- jasmina!

How did you originally find Renderosity?
Renderosity is the best source for the Poser over the Internet for me. First time I have seen it in year 2001 when I was searching some stuff for my new toy called “POSER”. From that time to today I have never changed my start page on the internet browser.

How long have you been involved in digital art?
I have started 3D design in early 90s with Sculpt 4D on my 7 Mhz Amiga 500. This was my most important hobby. But up to last year I have only made renderings for my own purposes. I have extended my hobby to designing a year ago. I feel that, designing is still my “amateur” work and I love it so much.

Do you remember the first thing that you designed on a computer, and if so, what was it?
Yes, It was a simple combination of the 2 cubes. One of them was transparent and the other was metallic. Rendering has taken whole day for me to get 320x200 pix image :)

Let's see what's “under the hood”.  What are the hardware specs for the computer you use to create your masterpieces?
I use notebook for 3D design. the most important part of the hardware is screen. It has a resolution of 1920x1200 and non-glare. 4 GB of ram with 2x100 GB 7200 S-ATA II HDD. FireGL V5400 256 MB Dedicated up to 1 gb shared memory, has enough performance for OpenGL. Intel T9300 2.5 GHz dual core processor for the rendering.

Also I use this notebook to create .NET interfaces for BMW :)

What software do you use and why?
I use Cinema 4D for designing / morphing and UV mapping. That tool is so user friendly and powerful for me. It has a lot of automated functions for the 3D clothing. Next tool is Photoshop. I use it for all kind of texture mapping issues. And Poser for creating figure's. I have programmed some .NET programs to make joint parameters, morph injections automated rendering etc.

What are you up to when you're not hard at work on the computer?
My work is taking all of my time for the moment. Whenever I find some time, I am just sleeping.

Do you have any final words?
2 months ago, I have finished my last clothing set and created figures on poser. But I couldn't find a time to create textures, icons, renders and promo page. I am looking forward to arrange some time for my best hobby as soon as possible. I have missed to work with Poser. But in every case...I'll be back.
