Renderosity's Member of The Month - July 2014
Renderosity would like to welcome you back to our
latest monthly feature highlighting artists that have had a
profound impact within our Gallery Section.
In an effort to acquaint our members with other members in our
Community, Renderosity is featuring a member from our Gallery Area
every month. Each Member of the Month has given us a few important
details about themselves and their art which others may not be
aware of. This also will give others a chance to explore a new
genre of art and hopefully tie our Community closer.
July's Member of The Month is: MrsRatbag
MrsRatbag has been a Renderosity Member since 2008 and prefers to
work with photography.

Learn more about MrsRatbag
(Renderosity) What is your
background?
(MrsRatbag) I began my artistic career in high school as a
painter in oils and acrylics. Photography never really occurred to
me (despite my frustration with painting) until I was laid off from
my job at the end of 2007. I purchased a small point and shoot and
began exploring the Seattle area photographically.
(Renderosity) What is your main tool of
choice?
(MrsRatbag) I currently shoot on a Canon 40D with an assortment
of lenses. Of course I’d like the big huge one you see being used
by National Geographic wildlife photographers, but I think that’s
going to have to wait until I win the lottery!
(Renderosity) What subject do you most
identify with?
(MrsRatbag) I’d have to say animals and nature; I have an
excellent relationship with the tigers and cougars at Cougar
Mountain Zoo in Issaquah, Washington, and am fortunate to live near
the Bellevue Botanical Gardens and Washington Park Arboretum, all
of which are superb for what I love to shoot.
(Renderosity) What or who inspires
you?
(MrsRatbag) I’m always blown away by photos I see online of
faraway places and beautiful natural sights. Nature is an
incredible inspiration!
(Renderosity) What vendor do you give the
most credit to?
(MrsRatbag) I don’t use any vendors.
(Renderosity) What is your favorite
product in the Marketplace?
(MrsRatbag) I haven’t used any products.
(Renderosity) Who is your favorite artist?
(MrsRatbag) I haven’t got a favourite, but I’ve always
loved Maxfield Parrish and many of the romantic painters of the
distant past.
(Renderosity) Any tips you would like to
share with the Community?
(MrsRatbag) Keep your eyes open, always; and always look for
the beauty in everything. It’s there, you just have to see
it.
(Renderosity) What is your
favorite section on Renderosity's website?
(MrsRatbag) Of course it would have to be the galleries. I love
seeing other people’s work, and not just in the area of
photography. I’m inspired and moved by fractal art and 2D work
too, any creation where it’s obvious someone really feels
strongly about what they’re doing.
(Renderosity) What would
you like to see improved on the Renderosity site if
any?
(MrsRatbag) You know, I’d like it to be easier to find
particular shots in my own gallery; it has reached a formidable
size, and without a search function within the gallery it can be
daunting when I want to locate something.
