Description

After hours of Coffee, sigarettes, fast-food, non-sleeping and other unhealthy stuff i finally made it to graduate as a Industrial Design engeneer. Since i didn't post for a long time i put together some renders of my graduation project.( from now on this becomes public domain) "What the ... is this thing?" It's a semi-automatic, hydraulic, crawling, cutting and suction device for the removal of invasive aquatic plants. They threaten biodiversity and cause numerous ecological and economical problems. Until now the removal was done manually by divers. I wanted to facilitate this proces of removal. All modeling done in Rhinoceros 3.0 All rendering done in Lightwave 7.0 One credit goes to the free diver-poser model found on http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/3d/3d.htm Thanks for viewing!! comments welcome

A very nice design and presentaion, Bertolli. There are several complex pieces that I imagine took quit a bit of effort on your part. Do invasive plants become such a problem that a harvester can be used without worrying about other desired plant life? Perhaps the invasive plants are so bad that they completely take over.

they destroy and take-over existing habitats by growing in very dense populations.
