Thank you for your comments on Petroglyphs! I was so excited to be back, I didn't even give much of a description on that one. So let me tell you more.
These are the Owens Valley Petroglyphs, located in central east California, in an area known as "The Great Basin". There are several tribes of the Great Basin that traveled and bartered with each other. The local native Americans are of the Piute Tribe. It is said that the petroglyphs are a kind of message board, used to communicate. I haven't looked into the deciphering of these symbols, but I'm sure it says "Meet me at Starbucks for a Latte mid-morning" LOL :P

This is a terrific shot of these strange symbols. The dots, squiggles, and "window frames" appear in cave art all over the world, and some say they relate to the first-stage visions encountered in shamanic journeys.
