I didn't know whether to pick Illustration or Surrealism for this one. I was illustrating a passage in the novel I am reading at the moment "Chronicles of Amber" Roger Zelazny. "When light came again, bluish this time, it held no point source and described no land. ... Golden bridges cross the void in great streamers, one of them flashing beneath us even now... ...Finally far ahead, a dusky, misty blotch, our terminus, growing very slowly despite our velocity... By the time we reach it, it is gigantic, an island in the void, forested over with golden metallic trees... we enter that wood, grass like aluminium foil crunches beneath us as we pass amongst those trees. Strange fruit, pale and shiny hangs about me...." I started out thinking it was going to be a quickie but somehow along the way it's taken an awful lot of fiddling. Millenium horse, V2 hands on the reins (yeah, I know, the character riding that path is really Corwin, Prince of Amber but I had V2 ready to roll...) Hope you enjoy.
