Your characters are superb in all ways, especially Posing and texturing.What needs improvement here is the environmental lighting in the background scenery and of course a better camera angle to position the charaters in focus.Otherwise excellent.

Tend to agree with zinoarchi - what technique you might look at for ground cover its bigbraader's polygonal ground cover - tut is in freestuff rather than in tutorials I believe. His image "Shortcut through the meadow UPDATED" or my variation with shorter grasses "August" gives pretty good idea. Have fun.
