Description

created thus far in photoshop CS. really, this has just been a sit down and experiment project, i have started trying to get into manipulating the base textures with shading to make them look a bit more 3 dimensional.(mostly canvas i think) the hood was sort of a fun thought when i was up late one night. i created it and the shading on separate layers and am working on creating two colour schemes that compliment eachother and work independently as well. i was inspired by graco's "wisen" works, though i think i am improving, i am not up to that calibur yet. you can see that here: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=619143&Start=1&Artist=Graco&ByArtist=Yes please comment on what i have so far. thank you.

Good so far, but it is looking very flat still. You need to take it a step further with the highlights. I would ditch the canvas texture and try to make good use of color and highlights to make the objects seem 3d. cheers.

This is excellent beginning of the character! I really hope you continue with it, and show us the next steps too. I'm sure when you go on with arms and maybe with the rest of the body, it'll take you where it wants to go:-) and then you can decide the light source(s), and start with highlights. This will be a great mysterious character. :-)

He's a bit like Garret, I don't know if you have ever played Thief but he looks a bit like the games charcter. A very dark and mysterious charcter, I like the expression-slightly vunerable.

I really like the shading that you did on both the hood and the arrows. This looks like work that could be found in a D&D manual (one of the old school ones) and I love that!
