Description

This was a lunchtime doodle dating all the way back to March last year, but at the time I just didn't feel it was good enough to show. Now though, I kinda like it, and don't mind posting it :-) As usual it's entirely up to you what the hell you make of it. Personally, I see Woodstock (from the Peanuts comic strip) as a very old and ailing bird, wrapped up snugly in a sleeping bag and being held in the palm of an equally old and frail person's hand... sorry, does that spoil it for anyone? *lol* Painter 5 (with some colour tinting in Photoshop 7) Thanks for your feedback, critique, bemusement etc :-)

It looks like a potato to me, but that is not important. Whatever it is, I like the lines and the tinting. Good work.

A root! First thing I saw was a root! But I can see some kind of a bird too now that u mentioned it! I love the color here as usual, very warm, my kind of colors! I always like ur colors! Great background and texture! An overall very pleasing image to me! :)

Thanks Pascale, funny how strange birds' heads seem to keep cropping up when I do the free doodling, no idea why. I don't have an obsession with birds like Max Ernst did although I do like a lot of his art...

I really like the feel and mood the texture evokes. Its very impresinistic to me. There also a little bit of sycnrosity here as well for me. Today I found a cross section of a sole of a show that reminds me very much of this piece. Perphas after I photgraph it and transform it and upload we can compare them.

This is so sweet! I love his hair - really sleepy looking Woodstock:-) And the whole image is so pleasing to my eyes - calm and warm. Love the tone and textures!
