Description

Not really all that happy with this render. The weapons fire and explosion worked out ok, but for some reason I could not get a decent render of the Mimbari ship texture. I do not know why as I spent quite a bit of time messing with it. I wanted to lighting to remain contiguous with the cockpit image and I think that is what did me in. Also the texture surfaces are so much different between that and the star fury that getting one to look good blows out the details on the other. Perhaps I am being too self critical.

looks good to me..maybe a little less motion blur..possibly some more light on the ships to bring out the detail..nicely done with the models, tho..;)

Looks just fine from where I'm standing... the only comment I have is that the lighting of the starfield may be a wee bit too bright, but then again I've never seen stars from this particular point in space. :o)

The stars actually should be over bright. Consider the scene and how a camera would be set. In order to get suffucent reproduction of dark low contrast objects like the ships. You would have to open the camera's apature to get enough light off of the objects so they can be visible. Any bright areas in the image would now naturally over expose and tend to blow out. Since I do not have any strong direct light source in the scene except the starfield. And the explosion and the stars are the only bright objects in the scene, they should appear overbright, the image would look flat had they less contrast or brightness.
