Description

Took Meli's advice from last week, and drove to a local beauty spot last night, after recharging my cam battery and waiting for the sun to lose its mid-day strength :-) http://www.charnwoodbc.gov.uk/tourism/beacon.htm This place (like nearby Bradgate Park) has some really amazing trees. Amazing in their sheer weirdness: there's barely an "ordinary" tree anyway, almost all of them are plastered in nodules, strange twistings and a plethora of textures. A photographer's dream :-) I used up all 128MB of my card... took 140 pics... the last few being of the beautiful sunset observed from the top of the hill :-) This is one of the weirdest examples! Nikon Coolpix 4500, no postwork. 3rd August 2003. Thanks for looking :-)

Some grows straight, some grows crooked, somehow I feel connected with the latter. You captured the light wonderfully. What a wonderful place to go camerahunting in!

I don't "find" them... I'm just fortunate enough to live only 20-30 minutes' drive from these places, just as my workmate spidermurph said above ;-)
