Description
If the purpose of this video (and it was) was a test to see if I could force Seedance 2.0 to bend to my will then it was an abject failure. If you compare it to the controlNet video that I made (see previous post) you will see that, while some visual elements are correct, the motion path and camera path were thrown out entirely. Having said that, it was a first attempt. I've already gotten a few ideas about how to change the prompt. The problem is the price. The node said, "700-850 tokens per run" - I had 1200 left, so I thought that I would give it a shot. After it had rendered, I checked my balance - MINUS two thousand tokens! That thing took over 3,200 tokens to run. I think that I may give it a rest for a while...

Animation has audio - please watch with sound enabled. Please watch full size - thanks!
Seedance 2.0 is the kind of AI app that people who hate AI diffusion art are fearful of. One little click is all you need to generate some kind of awesome video. Having said that, it is extremely difficult to control (if that's your bag).
Nice work I love the way the shadow's on the ground keep track
Thank you! Yeah, it really looks great - I like it when that big rock goes by. :)
Congrats on your first awesome animation, as it looks spectacular...one can't argue with the results but Seedance 2.0 is expensive to use. I tend to use lower price models that are more within my budget.
What you are trying to do is an advanced type of animation that I have been staying away from, till I get better at controlling the darn AI camera, because as you say it is a difficult thing to do with a prompt and I totally agree.
Seedance 2.0 is being heavily promoted and is presently the new kid on the block as far as Ai models go. Hopefully the prices will come down in the near future.
You did a 15 second animation which is presently the most expensive one you can get. At the site I do my animations, this is what it would typically cost to do. I like this site since It clearly states their prices and I am better able to decide how much I want to spend. This site does not deal in tokens as it deals in cents and dollars or what ever type of currency your country happens to use.
Just for comparisons sake, I have been using the Seedance 1.5 AI model and the following list is what I call more budget friendly prices:
When I am trying out an AI model I tend to use the 480P model at anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds since this is the most budget friendly way to approach an animation that I may not like and decide not to use after I view it and if I like it, I then do the animation at a higher resolution knowing my prompt will work having done it earlier at 480P. I am presently doing all my animations at 720P and this is the best use for most of what I have to do. I did start out a 1080P but quickly found out that it was not being cost effective and therefore save the 1080P for special projects once I have fully tested the animation.
I highly recommend that you try out your first animation by using the 480P and then go from there. If you need any further help just reach out to me by site mail...I hope this information is of some use to you my friend. :)
Hey Johnny :) Thank you for viewing and for the thoughtful comment. I would like to look into your render site - can you send me a site mail with a link? I'm pretty happy with Comfy Cloud, especially since they have a local version that is free, if you have an nVidia GPU that can handle it. I currently only have one laptop with a RTX4070 @ 8GB vram, so I render in the Comfy Cloud on 96BG cards. I usually render @ 480P for animation hosted here at Renderosity and 720P for other stuff.
This looks amazing to me....Very well done!
