Description

Those who know me will know that I am petrified of spiders... (Yes I am dreading the portrayal of Shelob in LOTR3) but I have to admire their work. The spiderwebs I saw when I last went camping showed me a different side to the eight legged monstrosities... far different from the shivers I get when I walk through a web or feel one of them skitter across my skin. Here, a simple tangle of web, yet beautiful at the same time. I'm quite surprised that this shot came out as I was shooting this in the wind and the stalk was waving about somewhat... The little fiend in the corner is but one of a few hundred we encounted on the trip. They were everywhere (including the shower, much to the dismay of one of the girls...) and if you sat still for more that a few minutes, they would begin spinning to and on you as well...
