Description

Interstellar travel in the League of Suns usually requires only a few weeks, but air, food, and water in space are not free. Some people, therefore, choose to save money by traveling in coldsleep - cryogenically kept in suspended animation for the duration of the trip. This picture is a bit of an experiment, in that all the light comes from emissive materials within the scene. There are no other lights at all. I think it came out all right, and I hope you'll all enjoy the result. Normally, I've been posting just after midnight (my time), but today I'm doing it a little earlier because I have to get up early tomorrow: I'm going to be at Promontory Summit for the 150th anniversary of the completion of the 1st Transcontinental Railroad.

I don't mind travelling in coldsleep as long as large numbers have already done so without anything happening to them!

Real good lighting and texturing. This vehicle can't be that new already, judging by the grungy interior. :)
