Description

This is a render inspired by an actual photograph. I created this render in imitation of a pinup photo of Rachelle Wilde of "Naked News" fame. For those who might not know what "Naked News" is, it is (or was) an internet news broadcast, featuring real news stories, in a professional style and format, and you guessed it, where the anchors and journalists, both male and female, all strip down in the course of the broadcast. Its tagline, interestingly enough is, "The news with nothing to hide." I have never actually watched it, on the internet or otherwise, but I have seen it around on the internet; it is (or was) a paid subscriber website. LOL. Anyway, I used one of the studio images taken of this news anchor, Rachelle Wilde as inspiration. The original is owned by "Body in Mind" an internet site who apparently specializes in nude and art photos of celebrities, porn stars, and the like. Of course, I didn't care or want to make it exactly like the original, but I wanted to make something similar to it, using a similar background, and having a figure in a similar pose. So I created a simple backdrop in Poser Pro 2014, and used my character Aliaa El Sharif, introduced just recently as the model. It took me quite a few renders, and tweaking the lighting and the pose of the figure to get it to look the way I wanted. Posing the figure was a bit of a challenge, but to achieve anything like the realism I wanted, I had to play with the lighting. The standard Firefly render engine has come a long way since Poser 5, which is the version of Poser I started with, and it is now the bomb in making realistic renders. I will soon get (hopefully in a couple of weeks) Poser Pro 11 which they introduce "Superfly" render engine, which now includes caustics and other render effects to get even more realism. I finally managed to achieve the realism I wanted by using four lights including one infinite light, a diffuse IBL lamp, and a couple of spotlights. I cranked the Ambient Occlusion on the diffuse light, and the studio lights, and tweaked the texture and bump maps on the figure, et voila.
