Three weeks later: Everything is first class in the cars. Angel skips across the yard knowing in a few hours they will be departing. As soon as a new front hitch is installed on the GP-8 that replaced one of their GP-35s because it was still strong enough to pull freight. The last of the supplies are being loaded and she meets Cindy Mendez for the first time and her girls will be taking care of the cooking and house cleaning on the train. A Penatar is assigned to them named Shar and her assistant they are unpacking in one of the sleepers. They did get another sleeper and everything looks good to depart. It is now a train with 6 cars. Their first assignment is to go to the extreme west to Barbase and decide how much track needs to be pulled after the tidal wave that hit the west coast there. They will be traveling on GHS track for most of this trip, at Saturn they will change over to NC track and head to Barbase that is half a world away. The lower part of the picture is the train headed out at dusk towards Barbase going thru the plains of Selmar.
