Description

happy satuday...no bombs yet so that's a positive thing...yes... I've seen 2 of these thus far...aI first I thought was a Japanese beetle but then I got closer and sigh of relief... a little story about my childhood...I grew up in a VERY rural area and we where very poor...of course my parents where raised in the region...have not really left it at all...we never even had a vacation...not like people do today or even then. we did visit relatives in nearby towns rarely and those where considered vacations and only lasted 1 or 2 days...they all where married by 14 or 15 and used sears catalogs sheets for toilet paper. outhouses...no bathrooms...now I do remember outhouse at my grandma who lived about a mile down the dirt road...but by the time I came along my parents had a toilet...and we had a well for water...Christmas birthdays etc...lucky to get apples and oranges...toys??? this was one of my toys...we called them junebugs and this is gonna sound cruel to some but for a toy we would catch one of these and mom would break the bank to give us a piece of thread which we would tie around it's back leg and then we would throw it up in the air and it would fly around attached to the thread...it was thrilling. kinda like how we would put fireflys in jars. of course it usually turned out fatal for the poor insects but it was 'fun' for me then. hope you like the photo I think it was sleeping when I found it...right after I took the photo it raised up it's head higher and flew away... have a wonderful time and please be alert...if they attack over there...it's not gonna be just mericans getting hurt...I've been on the rr systems in Europe in france London and spain...and other surrounding areas...it'll be terrible...911 changed everything over here...at least for me it did...I talked to people who where there when it happened in surrounding buildings that started crying immediately as they recounted it years later. how can such manmade castastrophie benefit any of us...hopefully things will stay under control...have a happy time... ***chills and thrills***

I sincerely hope there are no attacks. we never went anywhere also and had an outhouse. I had the fun of digging new holes and hope I did not dig into an old one. we could not afford a sears catalog!! only one parent "mother" and she worked her butt off taking care of four children and herself taking in laundry and cleaning people's houses.

Much of what you described was in my family too, but one generation earlier, so I had it pretty well. I do remember having apples but oranges were less common and a banana was quite rare but they were around if you had the money for them. I cannot believe the fruits that are commonly available now, and the enormous amounts of energy expended to get them here. Hoping that free people will not be in danger anywhere!

Looks like Cetonia aurata we have here. Wonder if sears catalogs sheets are better than old newspapers

we had no sears catalogue but i remember my father cutting the "parlament sessions" newspaper into sheets.so the one could say we wiped our azz with political talks hehehehe. i dont think anything will happen.some dark forces are wanting to keep the world under control and feed us all kind of crap -so no one can see what they do behind the curtains. i am not afraid of terrorists,i stay in my 5m thick walled bunker with my barbed wire around and i just added some small rocket launchers nothing very special......lol. be safe bro you never know when an asshole crosses your path.
