Description

2nd design concept - this one has a landscape sliding keyboard and dual capacitive screens (slide the top to the left to expose the keyboard, to the right to expose the second screen, which is designed for gaming user interface design to keep the main screen clear), and a touchlatch battery door. Designed, modeled, textured lit and rendered in Strata 3D 6.2 One of 2 concept designs for the next WebOS smartphone. (I don't work for Palm/HP - just some independant thinking, here)

Awesome realism here! On a tech-development idea: I've been wondering when manufacturers will stop creating plug-in chargers, and just use magnets to link to the power source. Get rid of all the silly phone-specific unique plugs, and develop a magnetized connector that can universally charge any device that has the magnetic reciever.

s3raph - The WebOS phones all use inductive charging via the Palm branded Touchstone chargers.. very cool stuff, actually. I own and use a Pre+, and its a pleasure just placing it on the touchstone charger and watching it charge, while still being able to use the phone! The above follow the same pattern, of course. Thanks to everyone for your comments!

Very impressive work. Your technical execution is -- of course -- top notch. But I'm really impressed by the ideas that go behind the work. These look like things that we will someday see in the real world. Very impressive, indeed.
