Description

Since I painted the 10th Doctor Who, when the new series took off here in the UK I was asked when I was going to paint the 11th Doctor. And I didn't know at the time. It was easy to paint the 10th Doctor since David Tennant did that character for 5 years. But with a new actor and a "new" version of the Doctor, it was all brand new again. So this is the first version of the 11th Doctor Who. I will most likely paint him again at some point if Matt Smith will continue as Doctor Who, but this is the best I can do for now :p Since he's a bit of a fashion disaster with his horrible shirts and tweed jackets, this was very fiddly to do. At least the shirt. For the jacket I used a pattern to create the texture in the fabric...and I'm not 100% happy about that bit. Painted in Photoshop CS4, using Wacom tablet. Yeah!! The Doctor!!! Love the series!!!! I think that the jacket is right, maybe you can use the displacement map option to get more realism, anyway I think is right.

To be honest, I think you've done a great job! Our new Doc' seems to be develpoing a bit of a mania so it might be nice to see if you can get that into your next piece. Terrific!!
