Description

this was done in corel photopaint. two layers. one of my photos and a flag. Note: Dispicable organizations such as the KKK and Aryans have taken a hallowed piece of history, and have plagued good Southern folks and the memories of fine Confederate Soldiers that fought under the flag with their perverse agenda. IN NO WAY does the Confederate Flag represent hate or violence.

A nicely done montage. While the Stars and Bars might not directly represent hate or violence, it did represent a belief that one group of people had the right to ignore the laws of Man and God and claim another group of people as their property. No matter what revisionists and romantics might say, in the end the CSA was all about the greed of the ruling elite and the stupidity of the masses who supported them.

I was born and have lived in the state of NH a far walk from the confederate supported lands to the south. I have the utmost respect for those who hold the flag as representation of their heritage. One day I would like to walk your area and not feel out of place. Neither of us chose to be born where we are and should remember we are living in a crumbling nation that needs repair. Tip my hat to your photo and what you believe. Best of days to you. Well done!

I'm so glad to hear you say that. The flag stood for a people and a pride - it was not a symbol for racism - that is what others decided to label it and it took on a bad name. Being southern, I still know what the flag stands for and all who stood under her. Stunning capture and it does the flag justice.

Beautiful representation! Looking at your image, I can feel the pride that this flag SHOULD represent. :)

I am glad you posted this. Mrs. Lubner is correct. Unfortunately instead of working to make this country stronger, some have concentrated on over-kill reactions to all things historical they do not like and have demanded unfair priviledge. Enough of all of that.
