Description

So after what seemed like a very long wait, e-on's latest update to Vue 7 Infinite (Build 38524 - Beta) seems to have addressed the majority of the issues that made 7 pretty much unusable on the Mac. There are still some issues, but the fact that this is the first test scene I was actually able to produce from start to finish makes me feel like they are making progress. All bugs aside, I've got to say I'm pretty impressed with the speed of the new renderer and the new spectral clouds are awesome. I rendered this one out at 6000 x 3375px in Final Mode using Global Radiosity in just under 10 hours... a definite speed increase IMHO. Of course this was done using the internal renderer as the standalone renderer still crashes upon launch, but maybe that will be addressed in the next release. Maybe ;) Freebie thanks for the unique and very cool ship go to Thor Danielsen, aka originalmoron. Thanks for looking!

Nice render, glad they're addressing some major issues for Mac users though they've managged it so quickly you'd think they could have addressed them prior to selling it!!!! Enjoy, it is better abd faster at rendering

Every time I look at one of your Vue renders, I want to ditch Lightwave forever and good. I love the warm natural backlight on the foreground objects, its wonderfully soft and atmospheric. Combined with that spectacular sky color and clouds, it produces a very evocative image. It feels full of anticipation of an adventure to come, to me. Very appropriate for the New Year.

That is an amazing sky, I am going to have to get V7 no way around it! The lighting looks go real and you got that quailty in that short of a time, thats amazing.

Very nice scene! I love the sky, both the clouds and the fading color near the horizon. (I'm having enough problems using Vue 7 on Vista - every time I reboot, it tells me I have an invalid activation -- annoys me to the point that I'm still just using Bryce)
