There seems to be a great sense of humor in your mother. She has good character and a practical nature but she can be a lot of fun when she is not in public view. Wonderful selective coloring done here.

well, I can understand a relative (Helle) saying "where's her lovely smile"; but to me, you've captured a kind of mountain in your mother, a very strong shot. I like the feeling that she's formidable and strong. And I like how you allowed the purple to shine into an otherwise black & white shot. (And used it for your frame too.) I hope your mom liked this. It makes her look really strong.
