Please open full size. This was the first time I played with distribution maps from GeoControl2 for driving material mixing. I did it in the background mountains and it works really fine. The ground material is procedural, the same one I created for "Picnic in Procyon". Grass is a freebie from Bigbraader, thanks! Thanks for watching!

WOW - those materials all look great, I especially like the skull and the way that the sand fills in the recesses in the background terrain. Great idea as well :D

The BG mountains looks like two different terrains, so the mix looks damned fine to my eyes. The scene reminds me of "Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind", the award winning movie by Hayao Miyazaki. If you never saw it before, then you tapped into the human subconsciousness again! Great job!

Love how the ground looks, really nice texture. Also nice effect on the mountains, never thought of doing it like that. Good work on the lighting and the texture on the skull as well :)
